Meet Mrs Preston
Mrs Preston is the chef at Thornton Park in my cozy mystery series The Thornton Mysteries.
One of her favourite recipes is Chicken Lyonnaise.
Chicken à la Lyonnaise was on the Titanic’s First Class dinner menu on the night it struck the iceberg (14 April 1912).
It was one of the entrées served during the First Class Last Dinner — the elaborate, multi-course meal offered shortly before the collision.
Is she a chef who rules her kitchen with precision and a 'keep out of my kitchen' attitude, or does she welcome visitors? 😆
